What would happen if stem cells were injected into normal, healthy skin?

I’ve seen articles where stem cells can repair damaged tissues and have regenerative effects and everything, but does anyone know what would happen if the stem cells were injected into normal skin? Would the cells still differentiate and make…extra tissue, or would older cells be replaced by the stem cells, or what?

Stem Cell Experts: Somatic cells having the ability to become any of the 3 germ layers significance?

It is stated that somatic cells can be regressed from their differentiated state and brought back to pluripotency, which means they can become any of the 3 germ layers using specific factors. What is the significance of this finding? What does it allow?
I will rate 5 stars for a great response and preferably a excellent website link where I can learn more about stem cells in an overview.

Just curious… Not to educated on the topic. How long would it take for stem cells to develop a working organ for a human to use. Like say a heart or kidney. How long would it take for the stem cells to turn into one?

- Can the DNA of adult stem cells be programmed to turn into the right type of cell? or is it completely depend on growth factors…
- How do stem cells know how to organize in the failing organ?
- Where can I ask a doctor or researcher about this?
